A Year at Mission Hill – Chapter 1: Why We’re Here

NoVo Foundation invites you to begin watching “A Year at Mission Hill“, a 10-part video series chronicling the rhythms and relationships of a year in the life of one of America’s most successful public schools. You can see firsthand what goes into creating a powerful learning environment for children (and adults). We meet the school’s teachers, families and children as they experience the highs and lows of a year of self-discovery, exploration, and frustration. More than a story just about MIssion Hill, each episode serves as a jumping-off point for national conversations about the state of public education as it is – and as it ought to be.  NoVo Foundation grantee, IDEA, and NoVo collaborator Sam Chaltain have woven together more than than 40 diverse organizations and networks to share the story of Mission Hill as captured by filmmakers Tom and Amy Valens.
