No matter where or how you were raised inequality shows up. We, like most people in the world, want to see that inequality end.

Due to hundreds of years of conquest and colonialism, we are deeply and unconsciously programmed to accept rampant competition, exploitation and domination, as the way of the world. Competition – at any cost – for scarce resources or over one another is accepted and rewarded. The powerful interests of a few over-ride quality of life and equity for all. The time is now to address the deep underpinnings of systems that are not nurturing humanity and life. We wish to shift to a world in which women and men work in respectful partnership and collaboration with one another and with the earth.

We are deploying NoVo Foundation resources to embolden a positive vision of a more peaceful and safe world free from exploitation, destruction and violence. We focus on improving the status and well-being of girls and women worldwide who too often suffer from violence, poverty and discrimination simply because they are female. We believe that only when girls and women are allowed to be equal co-creative partners in society with boys and men, will many intractable problems be solved.

We invest in innovative strategic grant making and initiatives that we hope, in the near and long term, will lead to societal transformation. We are humbled and honored to be able to contribute to building a world based on peace, compassion, justice and love. This is a big vision. We have a lifetime to do our part.
