Social transformation will take many of us working together.
We’re always saying, “If all the world’s problems could be solved with money they would have been solved already.” It will take a coalition of activists, advocates, and allies committed to ending violence against girls and women. Here are some ways for you to get started.
Volunteer with a local service provider
You can contact a battered women’s shelter, sexual assault crisis center, or other service provider in your community to see how you can volunteer or make a donation.
Make a financial donation
Sites like Global Giving or Donor Direct Action offer comprehensive resources to enable you to find a cause or organization that particularly speaks to you!
Be an Advocate
Sites like CARE and Do Something have an action networks that offer different types of advocacy ideas.
Many organizations offer free newsletters and email updates. A few that we recommend are Women’s eNews, Women’s Media Center, and World Pulse.
