Advancing Adolescent
Girls' Rights

Whether in India, New York or Ethiopia: We believe every girl is born empowered. Together, we can dismantle the structures that prevent a girl from exercising that power, leaving her without an education, vulnerable to violence, and lacking access to opportunity. We invest in girls because they deserve better. When their rights are fully realized, girls strengthen both their own lives and entire communities, transforming structures of poverty and inequity.

Our Strategic Approach

In the US and Global South, we seek to create conditions for positive change for girls. We keep girls at the center, ensuring that their own voices, experiences and aspirations shape the programs meant to serve them. We fund work that transforms from the inside out — a girl's own sense of her future and potential — and the outside in — the systems surrounding her. We support activists, girls and adults alike, who are working towards these changes every day. Underlying all of our efforts is our intention to move girls from invisibility to investment.
